Are you trying to read original ite chip or have you replaced it??

If you have replaced it8586, then its a common problem of getting this error-ITE series not detected.

I have alreday posted a solution for this problem in this forum.

You need to press power switch once, and then try to read it(Pressing of switch after connecting all connections with programmer and with adapter connected as well). Now read and it will read like a charm.

This happens only with so called new ITE8586 sio

    Hope, it helps you.

The programming pins on KB9012 are multi-purpose, on some mainboards they are loaded down by other devices and the programmer can't connect.

That is why some programmers have breakout board for KB9012 where you desolder it from mainboard and place it on adapter board for programming. It is one extra step and you have to be careful, but on some mainboards it is the only way.
