    acer one d270 dead

    hi every i need help on this i got this acer one d270 dead no power no light indicator no voltage on the coil no 3v and 5v but ive notice when charger plugged in no 19v on dc and pd8 and also notice that PQ38 is very hot ill tried to replaced the AO4427 but i dont have spare can anyone help me if i can use AO4433 or AO4407 because is the same p-channel mosfet?anyone please help on this

    any help on this please can i replace AO4427 with AO4407 mosfet?

      Specs are very similar so it should be OK.

          update: ill tried change pq38 AO4427 with AO4407 but still the same its gets hot when charger plugged in and there is no voltage on pins and also there is no voltage on pq41 i wonder what causes pq38 to getting hot. anyone please help me on this

                check for short on its pins.

                  Probably short to ground after the MOSFET, ie. on the VIN line: main power rail of the machine. Inject voltage on VIN (start with 1V) and check what gets hot.

                    thanks for the reply piernov should i use dc bench power supply?where should i inject 1v on pc87 or should i removed first this capacitor?sori i am not deep knowledge in this repairing but i want to learn

                      i have found buzzer on pl6 capacitor right next to power jack could this be a shorted capacitor?

                        update: when i remove the PL6 pq38 not getting hot but if a replace pl6 and put it back the same issue pq38 goes hot what could it be the culprit for this?please anyone help

                          you check the capacitors on 19V line. do you have the schematic for this motherboard ?. upload a clear image of your motherboard both sides.

                                    update:remove pr133,pc87,pc88 now there is 19v on pq38 and its not getting hot but when i change pr133 and put it back still got the same issue pq38 getting hot.anyone please help on this

                                      ok. you got the point. you just remove pr133. and check for short on both pads. you have to inject power from 1v to that pad which one showing short. when you injecting power you can find which part is getting hot.

                                        thanks for the response raajkumar i already done inject 1v on shorted side of pr133 now pl7 and pl8 getting hot should the two the culprit?
