    Unknown part

I just opened up one of my Netgear 10BaseT hubs to check for bad caps, and found THIS inside. United Chemi-Con KME caps, but what on earth is that green thing behind them?

The hub also looks like it has the capability for a 15-pin AUI-style connector to be fitted, and also a coaxial plug, but there are no connectors - just the solder pads. Perhaps I could add them

Edit: Added picture of the solder pads for the unused ports
