![]() Hello,
Long time member, first time raising question. Attached picture is part of MSI 16P51 motherboard. The caps in the picture are in power supply section of laptop. The caps are 330 uf in value. There is a silverish gray deposit at the end of middle capacitor. This is not conductive (checked by multimeter on diode/continuity range). But, making me wonder whether something has leaked out of the cap. This part of the board remains beneath the keyboard and does not have any heat sink compound around and in that area. Need an advice to better understand what this issue could be and also the type of capacitor (solid tantAlum, aluminum etc.). Warm Regards, |
