Sharp LC46D64U Power and OPC Flash

    Hi guys

I am working on this unit for a couple of weeks and now I need your help!

So when I plug it nothing happen but the green power light blink at 1 sec.

When I plug the TV while holding Vol- and Input nothing happen BUT power light blink twice and OPC blink once.

So in the manual this mean: PS_ON DET_10V failure ''DET_10V (pin 57). UR10V or A9V is not applied.
If error is detected during operation, the power is turned on
again by interrupt handling (instantaneous blackout processing).''

I just istalled the Shopjimmy kit (https://www.shopjimmy.com/sharp-rden...repair-kit.htm) but nothing change

I tested the voltage at the connector from the P/S board that goes to the Main Board

    Here's the result:
    LNB - NO WIRE
    LNB_POW - NO WIRE
    LNB_CONT - NO WORE
    PS_ON - 0V
    AC_DET - 3V
    PNL_POW - 0V
    SGND - 0V
    BU5V - 5V
    SGND - 0V
    SGND - 0V
    UR15V - 0V
    UR15V - 0V

    Could you help me?

Another question, how can I know which pin too test the huge transformer? thanks

    UR15V - 0V
Are you 100% sure that you count the pins and measure those Voltages correctly? Your report shows ZERO Volt for the standby power supply to run the main board, so no Standby Voltage then there will be any Voltage to run the main board to produce any error codes or to light up any Indicators. Recheck your measurement again.

So how many times does the Power LED blink and how many times does the OPC LED blink. It is confusing but you need to count them separately since they may flash together.

You are right, I made an error, just edit the post, BU5V is 5V

I would try a software update/reapply as described in the service manual provided by neilc6 in post #3, chapter 5 of the manual.

I "played" with one of these for a friend. Ultimately, he replaced the main board although his symptoms were different (only over the air worked). As suggested, try a software reload / update from usb. Actually, iirc, you don't even need anything "great" on the usb other than it being formatted (fat16/fat as opposed to fat32... which everywhere seem to suggested... fat32 didn't work). Anyways, IF the set powers up with the usb in, it will attempt to do the software update, asking before proceeding. IF this occurs, you will at least know that the "boot" / "upgrade ware" is working on the board. IF not (nothing happens with the set), then you likely have a main or powering problem.

One question, what is the history of the set and problem?

Further: I am not sure you are interpreting the flash codes correctly... if the codes are correct then my "read" is you have DET_D3V3 fault.

                    Service manual for 42, 46, 52":
It does not show error code chart in this manual, and I do not know for sure if 32/37 codes are valid for 46INCH or not.
                    32 & 37 inch: Power LED twice + OPC once = PS-ON, DET_15V failure.

I tried the upgrade firmware but the TV doesn'T even try to open....it blink power at 1 sec

Its strange how I get 1 sec power light blink when I just plug the power and 2 blink/sec power light and 1 blink OPC light when I plug it while pressing VOL - and INPUT at the same time!

ok so I open plugged the TV with CH- and VOL+ at the same time to reset the blink once I got when I was just plugging the tv

So now when I plug it I got the 2 blink power light and 1 blink OPC

so here's what is in the manual:

oops... I misread the number of flashes you posted.
It would appear to be a "det_10v" failure.

but... can you provide a history of the set?
