Greetings, i have an HP Elitebook Folio 9480M that where the battery is 0% avilable and says plugged in not charging and can only run when plugged in. I am using the original charger and have tried all the usual stuff such as deleting the battery drivers and removing the battery and so on. I have read that the issue is related to the bios and it may need to be updated but the problem is Its an ex corporate machine and has the Drive lock enabled so I can't into the bios. HP tech support gave me an smc.bin file to reload the bios but I couldn't do it as the the machine requests the drive lock password so I am stuck. Also when the machine booted after the power was removed I get the message "CMOS Checksum invaild". Any ideas on how to proceed? Thanks.
