No shares within a workgroup appearing

On a new Windows 10 install, I cannot see other computers on the network even though I am on the correct workgroup name despite seeing other network devices which do not use a workgroup and that network discovery is enabled and set for a private network.
I then discovered something in "Turn Windows features on or off" which was "SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support" which enabling it fixed this problem.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

This is disabled if you select 'public network' as network type.

SMB 1 is disabled by default with build 1803.
Access to C$ or admin$ is also disabled unless you modify localaccounttokenfilterpolicy.
