    Philips smart TV problems

TV is a Phillips 55" 4K smart TV model# 55pfl5402/f7. My kid was watching tv and went to switch over to firestick and when she hit source button TV shutoff then turned on and continued to turn on and off by itself. Unplugged it for awhile to to avail. I replaced the main board which fixed the turning on and off problem but know when TV is turned on there is no picture or sound. What do i go after next?

i think it would be better to you and to us if we trouble shooting the Original ( turn on off ) main board instate the replacement one. so please upload very clear photo on the original boards from both side.. and especially notice if you can track 2 soldering points with SDM label

i cant track the SDM joint point at yours photos. the reason i mentioned to trouble shooting the original main boards because Philips 4K TVs not all main boards based on same model for example for model 55pfl5402/f7 there 2 groups each used different firmware and drivers:
1- TVs Serial number begins with DS1A or DS7A and DS4A passed together as they used same Firmware and drivers

2-TVs Serial number begins with DS2A or DS9A or DSCA or DSBA or DSAA DS3A or DSDA or DSEA or DS5A and DSFA passed together but cant be used at first groups.

my question with replacement MB when TV go on did you have the LED back light goes ON ?

good. please right down here yours Philips serial no( located on the back cover and on the aluminum chassis ). and post clear photo on yours replacement MB.

            EDIT:
you can also try this test. with replacement MB in place after turn on the set and it keep on. press on RC the power to put the set in Standby mode. keep it at STBY mode and just plug out the power cable from wall sockt.

wait at least 10 minute then put back your Original MB. after this just plug back the wall socket. and check the set will remain at STBY mode.. report the result.

Diah what do you say? USb+RJ45 are in place, some caps are not mounted by factory..

Tim: If i help you to fix your new board you agree to send me your old broken board? :-)))

PS: only if the shipment cost is not too high...

PC RGB Input socket , till now i didn't saw Philips 4K or smart with out RGB IN, over the net too i couldn't find MB BA51RJG0401 2 with out this socket.

in firmware if there option at Source to switch to RGB and on MB no such hardware of sure the TV will be at boot loop.

Diah i don't see traces of desoldering work and the VGA is not used on many newer models, since is a port that is less used than before..
If you feel that the story is not complete i agree with this doubt 'cause i've never heard of a tv that brokes by a button hit..

You may want to watch for the revision, Philips could have decided to remove that in a second revision due to cost reducing..

Probably for the US market for this model, then the higher version of the same series may have it.

now its clear.. as i wrote at my POST #4 there are 2 group of series of this model.. now its clear the first group which include DS7 serial No doesn't had this socket.. and other group 2 did have.. and both groups didn't match by replacement as different hardware and firmware and driver of screen too... now its clear and the matter of this post issue too
