    Lenovo Ideapad 14IIL05 - damaged onboard RAM

    Hi everybody!

    I've got a Lenovo Ideapad 14IIL05 laptop with damaged onboard memory. Is there any possibility to turn off onboard memory by flashing BIOS? Or is there any other way to disable onboard RAM? Any help appreciated

    You're seeking help but not even mentioned the mb markings. How one can help as every mb is different?

        I've removed the attached bios dump in your post. Read the rules:
        https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=117483
        https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=103570
        All bios related requests goes to "BIOS Requests ONLY!" sub-forum:
        https://www.badcaps.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=40

        Besides there's no need to modify the bios, you can disable onboard RAM by changing Board_ID configuration to:
        Board_ID 6/7/8/9 ---> 1 1 1 0
        Simple five minutes job.
        Edit:
        Schematic and BV for your convenience: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...15#post1241415

          What's up, I know some resistors move, I already did it in another lap but it didn't work for me in another publication, I already put what they were but nothing.

            Well you have all the information in front of you needed to do this simple job, the trickiest part is to know the right configuration which is not mentioned at the schematic but you already have it, so if it's not enough for you it might be better to seek help from someone with at least basic knowledge on a subject, as I said it's an easy five minutes job.

              Re: Lenovo Ideapad 14IIL05 - damaged onboard RAM

              @Vesko356 has already given the steps Board_ID 6/7/8/9 ---> 1 1 1 0. "1" here means logic high and "0" means logic low. I hope you can now understand the resistors which needs to be moved.
