    DPSN-125CP schematic?

This particular Delta power supply is one of at least two different OEM supplies used by Cisco. The DPSN-125CP version of the Cisco supply is shown at the ebay link below:

ASTEC model AA23280 is yet another OEM supply used by Cisco. It's older and easier to understand. Apparently Cisco replaced it with a Delta sometime around 2008. The AA23280 uses an AS3842 controller chip, which is pin compatible with the TI UC3842. As expected, there's a lot of quality, public, Unitrode documentation available on TI's website:

    http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slua143/slua143.pdf

    Here's the AS3842 datasheet:

For the time being, you find more used AS3842 Cisco modules available on ebay. Here's one such module:

At this point it seems that repairing AA23280 supplies, which are "pin compatible" with SPSN-125CP supplies, is the path of least resistance for me.

If I read the EBay pages correctly, the Delta PSU is $4 less than the Astec. But $45 or $49, can you repair either for less money?

ebay only seems to offer used supplies. And a used supply may fail the day after it's installed. That's no good, for my purposes. A genuinely refurbished supply ought to last longer.

In the end it's not about the money. It's about the reliability.
