    Chieftec HPC-360-202 360W

We seem to be having a lot of reports of Antec fails. I always understood Antec and Chieftec to be the same company but that is in fact incorrect. Whilst Antec and Chieftec cases look the same they are apparently made by Chenming Mold Inc. Corp which also markets under it's own brand UNEEC http://www.uneec.com

This PSU came in a Chieftec case which i have used as my main case for several years. You can see a pic if you click below. They are extremely heavy cases.

The PSU model is HPC-360-202 360W and an internet search revealed it appears to be made by High Power http://www.highpowersupply.com

The long pins on the small daughter board mounted vertically on the main PCB look scary to me - they're very close to the cover (when it's closed) and it don't see any insulation there. I've seen daughter boards like this but always with plastic insulation on the back.

i was thinking the same thing. a square of electrical tape on the case or better hot glue over that board would be fine. they used plastic insulation on the other side of the board where it is practically useless so i think someone messed up there.

Probably someone put in that plastic backwards...
