Just got in a huge HP color laser printer that was hit with a surge. I immedietly found a blown fuse in the power supply. Its a Hollyland 51MS (Medium slow blow) 125V/8A fuse. Its nominal melting I2T is 167. Blow times are 100%: 4hrs min., 135% 1hr max, 200%, 20sec. max. Looking on digikey, the closest I can find is a littlefuse 232 series. The 232 series has a melting I2T of 182, the blow times are the same at 100% and 135%, but 200% is 2.25sec max. Should that be close enough?

'Just got in a huge HP color laser printer that was hit with a surge.' Is the MOV (surge protector device) which is connected after the main fuse OK?Never stop learning
