    Samsung DLP primaries...in series?

So I have this 8 year old DLP. It has two CapXon LP's that are surprisingly in series. Ive seen most of these in parallel on most power supplies. This hooks directly to the lamp ballast, that has a bloated cap I replaced. It bloated after I recapped it with a Panasonic EE. I'm assuming this was because of the dried out capXon LP's

getting replacements have been difficult, as almost all 200v 470u has been rated at 2.2Arms. Highest i've seen at mouser have been like 1.8Arms

what margin of error do I have here? Would these POS's actually be rated @ 2.2A out of the factory, being that they're capXons?

I suspect this is for a 60hz (fullwave bridge 120hz) power supply. not a SMPS, caps ripple current are rated different at different freq.
is it a snap mount? any of these should work, This is what I have used in the past without any problems

so at 60hz, the multiplier is 0.81, which puts the ripple at 1.78

so I have to find a cap with a decent enough ripple at 1.78 @ 60hz

its actually at 120hz if its a full wave bridge, some people like to pick the fly shit out of the pepper when it comes to picking a cap but its not that critical

I just looked at the tv service manual and it does list it as smps

and also finding a replacement for these capXon KM's. UCC KME's are the best but i'm having trouble finding those. Closest I can find are audio caps. KM's have no listed ESR (general purpose) like the KME's. So i'm concerned with going for a low ESR cap for this type of power circut

So are you saying the caps are in the secondary of the sm power supply? most of my samsung dlp schematics list those type of caps in the primary, which is not high frequency
Usually those caps are rated 85 degree which is also fine in that part of the circuit

Yeah these are the secondaries. 25v, 2200u. But all 105c due to placement

The ones listed first were the pris. I think I found a replacement for those with 250v ones that are about 2A

But these secondaries are 1200mArms general purpose. Closest match I can find are either audio purposed caps or ones with really high Arms and really low ESR which I think will drive the spec too far off

I know this sounds silly, especially considering what's already there, but it can solve the problem quite easily.
