Solder paste - Syrine vs Container?

Looking to get some solder paste and wondering the difference between the two. Is 10cc equivalent to 42g? What does XG-50 (container) vs XG-40Z (syringe) mean? Does one have a better shelf life due to container etc? Any info would help thanks

the syringe is for a dispenser, the pot will need a stencil & other shit,
what are your plans?, because you can get in a real mess with that stuff.

thats just their part number, i have the same stuff, not really that good in my opinion, but it works for the price for sure.. my syringe is 1000x easier and cleaner to use and doesn't get contaminated like the jar.. but it all depends on what you are using it with..

no, the syringe is maybe 10 grams less of material.. but you get about the same after the waste product of the jar, i.e. left on your stick etc.. i only have the jar for dipping leads into for jumpers and other odds and ends.. both have their place on my bench.
