    Lenovo g500 bios problem help!

    I have Lenovo 500g laptop.
I have 3 and 5 v on corresponded LP but on bios pin 8 I have no voltage.
I removed bios ic and again no voltage.
On battery connector I also have 3.3v

From where can I place jumper to give 3v on bios pin 8!
I have tried to give from pu39 but I have 3.3v on all pins.

    Pls help

    Thanks

Most likely bios does not need to be powered before full power on. Look at kbc power and signals. Bios 3v comes on when ec gives enable signal to 3v_rom. Mainboard platform not specified, is it la-9632p?
KBC has its own internal bios so main bios doesn't need to be powered on at first.

Hi Khaahk and thanks for your reply,

          the motherboard is LA-9632P.

i know that when connecting power adapter and WITHOUT pressing power button you must have 3 and 5 v on LP's 3,5v, battary connector, KBC controller and BIOS pin 8.
          i checked on KBC , i have EC_VDD/VCC (+3vALW)
          any ideas

          thanks

Pin 107 PCH_PWR_EN. If it stays low then either kbc is dead or needs reprogramming or power button not transfered to kbc. How much current is mainboard using? Does the kbc get hot?

                  Dream Khaahk,
Pin 107pch_pwd_en stays at 3.3v,using power supply at 5a.
                  Inc does not get had
                  Any other ideas

I NOTICED THE CURRENT ON POWER SUPPLY DROPS FROM 0.14 TO 0.01A WHILE LAPTOP IS RUNNING

                  Thanks

On second view of the schematic it shows most of the components on that circuit marked with @ sign, meaning they should not be installed. So i have no idea how the spi rom gets its power. If you have 3V ALW and no spi 3v then something must be swithing or protecting the 3v_rom circuit.

What do you mean by amperage drops from 0.14A to 0.01A? After what?

Measure resistance from pin 8 of spi rom to gnd. Maybe something is shorted on that line.

                        Dear Khaahk,

The resistance of Bios pin 8 is .8K to grd.
when laptop is switched on using power supply 19v and ampere is at full 5A the display on power supply shows 0.14A and aftera few seconds drops to 0.01A

Check if bios is powered during that 2 seconds. Maybe it is read and then powered off to limit power consumption. Then check power button action, lid switch status, communication between EC and PCH.

                            DEAR kHAAHK,

i would like to proceed to reprogram ene39012 kbc.
                            i have some questions.

wiring is done between RT809F and keyboard connecor and i have also read and save BIOS.
if i remember correctly this LA-9632P mobo is using ICH76. Please check it also to confirm.
do i need ICH77 bin file! always go one number higher!
do you by any chance have this bin file!

                            Thanks

You just need to program a KBC dump.

There is no ICH bin file, you just need to flash/program the bios and EC (kbc)

Use your programmers manual to program kbc.
