    sony_mbx-229_wistron_cadiz- NO POWER

    hello.
have this sony_mbx-229_wistron_cadiz-cp_rev_-1m board with no power from main power mosfet.

i measure that ACDET 2.6V signal is pulled down by AD_OFF_HW#
from schematic i see that i need positive signal on pin 5 in Q68.
But i dont find why it is not there. there are many ic U124,125,126
and i see some mark on SIO Nuvoton which i think is a burn mark.

Do u think that bad sio can be behind no ACDET signal?

      Re: sony_mbx-229_wistron_cadiz- NO POWER

i charged battery with PSU to 12V but when i connected it i have only 3,3V on BAT ID and BAT IN# and 0,06V on BT+

as i see the BAT IN# must be low to start battery and it comes from SIO, so that burn mark on SIO can be my main problem

do u think i can check other thinks by pulling down BAT IN# and start battery or i missed some signal that telling sio that battery is connected and charged?

        IMO
Maybe that things have related with other voltage rails or 3V/5V rails.
Sony vaio protection always make headache

        AFAIK
I think AD_OFF_HW# issue cause SYS_PRS and U125 output need logic H, Check your RTC_BAT.

Also the enable bat i think SYS_PRS#_1 need 0V.
(already prove by your TIP thread, one cable connect to pin 7, right bro?)

i think this was a mistake

found shorted both highside mosfets on 3,3 and 5V lines

when i inject 3V to 3,3V line PCH start to heat up real quick and draw more than 2,5A

5V line looks good, it draw about 1A and it lowering when i desolder chips connected to it

if all ic connected to 3,3V and 5V lines got hit from 19V, dont think it is refundable repair.
but i save this laptop to time when i have another PCH to replace it
