    After a good DAC

With so many available out there these days it's pretty hard to pick one, how ever my budget is $200.

Plan to use it with my EEEPC to my Yamaha RX-V1050 which i use as a pre amp and a NAD T753 as the amp.

I can list the OPamps used by these if needed.

    Requirements:

    Phono output
    USB input connection

Kinda worried about getting one and sounding flat or even small headphone like sound.

A couple i have had my eye on

ES9018K2M ES9018 + XMOS XU208 HIFI DAC USB DSD audio

HiFi TDA1543 DAC Digital Audio Decoder with SA9227
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/HiFi-TDA154...53.m1438.l2649

    Thank You.

    Re: After a good DAC

Might seem like a dumb question (and also a bit late, considering the date you made your post), but... WHY do you need a DAC like these?

Honestly, the first one looks like cheap junk. The fact that the seller/manufacturer is willing to slap any logo/brand on it for you is even more of an indication of a cheap unit.

Moreover, even the cheapest PC/laptop today has decent audio with very good SNR. I wouldn't waste any money on a DAC at all. You'll get far more distortion from your speakers than anything else in your entire setup. Also, the speaker placement in your room will be the most critical factor in how your system sounds, especially where you plan on listening to it and at what level.

So something is telling me these DAC devices are just another "audiophool" gimmick. But please correct me if I am wrong!

I'd vote for a small 2-channel USB interface you can find for cheap enough on the used market. Something along the lines of a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, or some older units from M-Audio.

I switched from my onboard dac to the NUforce uDAC3. Due to a ground plane issue with my board causing horrendous noise whenever a usb device was connected.

Im reasonably happy with it and it seems to meet your specs might be another option to consider.
