Default Important to know about capacitors on the motherboard

What is important to know about capacitors on the motherboard?

If you replace a new capacitor:
Can the size of the capacitor be larger or smaller than the original?
What values are important to be exactly the same as the original uf, a, v, ohm?

I mean laptop and smartphone motherboards.
