    LG 42lb5500

    No backlight fault
    Replaced led smd diodes without removing strips removed lenses and cleaned old glue off but now I have the dreaded white halo effect
    So does anyone know the trick how to do this ?

    Are the lenses placed centrally back in place. Perhaps the replacement leds are brighter?
    Willing to help but I'm no expert.

      we do know the original LED and its Lens Robotic work. human to replace this work will never come as it should 100%. my trick after replace the LED i put the clue in the holes then wearing my Laser Glasses, turn on.the set. then put white paper on the replaces LED and move the lens on it slowly until i have best spot

        Halos usually caused by lens not being centered or sitting too high. Did you scrape down the old black glue nubs and make sure the lens is correct orientation

          Yes I removed the old glue first then attached the led but still the same then noticed how high the good working lense was so worked out how high they are glued and used some paper to wedge and now working and in test mode no halos at the moment
