    Polaroid FLM-2601 no power

Here is another one with different issue.
It seems dead, no standby voltage, PFC it's way to low at 3.46V.
Replaced all the capacitors(except the one which has heatshrink on it), two of the 1000uF were bulging.
There are no voltages at the output connector.
I know that the two 1000uF look weird, but I couldn't find 22MM high capacitors at Digikey.
The soldering it seems that it was done by a beginner. The worst that I have seen yet.
    Any help would be appreciated.
I will start following/studying the PS diagram in the other post also.

You get 3.5V across the big cap? Is fuse okay?

The main fuse it's OK. Yes, that is what I'm getting.

See if the bridge rectifier (D904) is shorted between pins 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 2-3, 2-4 and 3-4. If it is not shorted, what is the DC voltage on the two outside pins (1 and 4)?

As you can see, there is the Thermistor R926 (for inrush current protection plus two inductor and a Diode) that is feeding the DC main filter cap as shown in the circuits. Make sure they are not open circuits.

The rectifier it's good. I hadn't had time to check anything else, hopefully later on today.

With the power supply unplugged, measure the resistance of this component, it should be low resistance, like 25 ohms or less.

                        Repairing live.
I have just found the problem! It was T902, one of the pins wasn't soldered.
It was pretty black that pin.
So capacitors replaced(2x1000uf bulging, replaced almost all) and resoldered T902's pin.
Another one fixed. 20 TVs and two monitors since February.
Now I need help with the ASUS MK241H , I can't find anything for this monitor.

insignia makes the 3201 if it follows suit as mine then you have an is-lctv26. compare the ser manuals and see if it is the same.

That is not uncommon failure at all. Poor soldering works.
When you see big components, Power semiconductor, power resistor mounted on the PCB, you will always inspect and resolder the leads. You will see small ring (crack, but not completely broken) around the joints.

But Insignia is just Best Buy, I expect they use the cheapest Chinese OEM on the day...

Insignia/Dynex are just Best Buy House brand. A lot of Insignia are made by the same people that make Polaroid TV, they even use the same model numbers on the tags! If you go to shopjimmy and look up boards for Insignia/Dynex/ Polaroid, you will see they are using the just about the same board assemblies.
