    As I indicated in post 14, more likely that the Gate drive outputs of the IC are bad (stuck on) so the new MOSFETs are damaged.

        Welp bud you knocked it out of the park. I pulled that chip and its locked up cock stiff. Changed the mosfets and chip and works a treat... stupid cap must have totalled that thing.. amazing job, you just saved me 1500 bucks.

              well, i just picked up 2 more of these underwater scooters with the exact same problem.. they are eating the chip and mosfets.. any idea why? one is brand new in the box and is stuck on... the other is only 1 year old..

                  Maybe just bad design or assembly job that exposed the original parts to excessive stress??
                  How about your repaired ones? Are they failing too? If not, I'd say design or assembly flaw is the most likely case here.
