    Re: Vestel 17MB62 Chassis

    u.k. is mpeg2
mpeg4 is only on the usb on u.k. tv's - you may get it working with an mpeg4 cam module.

in future, dont buy u.k. tv's - specially HD tv's because the way the stream is ilegally encrypted to lmiit the equipment that can be used.
in europe they wont tune any channels.

So with an mpeg4 cam module, the channels on tv are working in mpeg4 mode? It's the only solution? Thank you very much

For those interested, I found mb62 tuner software for LG, but the display is 32 "go and DVB-C channels only mpeg2, success

Re: Vestel 17MB62 Chassis - How to enable HDMI 2 in service menu ?

          Hi Julian,

Would you know how to enable HDMI 2 port ? It is called HDMI_0 in the schematics.

The issue is the read only service menu entry. Is there a way around it? Perhaps you know the SPI Flash feature map config?

          Cheers,
          Peter

hello, could you explain how did you update the firmware? can you do it even if you do not see anything on the screen? I have a Vestel TV that I think has the corrupted firmware!

Edit ! i see your set set uses a different mainboard 17mb62 that video i deleted is for the 17mb82 totally different board

my guess its the one ic u158 i think it is hopefully a more experienced member will advise us but freezing that ic still may work if it dosent you may have too remove the eeprom and re programme or replace it
what is the the tv you have what is the lcd panel number used in this tv (usually on a white sticker on the metal tv chassis) as we maybe able too find the exact firmware

I seem to have realized that TX and RX for Winb25Q80 serial connection are pin 10 and 12 of the scart socket, is it correct?

hi clydeuk. i have a copy of the mb62_en.bin firmware, tho i have no idea which version ? only just joined this site, so not sure i can send you it on here ? but your welcome to it if you want ? im trying to fix a techwood 32" tv with an mb62 mainboard, it has a flashing led fault from power up? (no standby ) thought at first it would be a power board fault ? but most of the posts say software issue? it never powers up, so cant get to copy the version thats on there to usb, and didnt want to do anything with the version i have ? (would it try to load even if wrong type ? ) tbh id like to be in your position, as i want to use the tv as a pc monitior in my bedroom with a sky box via scart/hdmi..........so tuner not working wouldnt matter to me ? lol.
