ASUS N56VZ Black screen, wrong EDID ?

    Hello.

i have a ASUS N56VZ with black screen.
Backlight is on and working. i can turn it on and off.
intel HD 4000 working and driver up to date.

I have tried all the classics, reinstall windows 1903 clean image.
failsafe remove with DDU. etc. etc.
    the screen remains black.

my screen is detected as "Flat Panel (1024x768 60Hz)".
im suspecting it might be a EDID problem.

I tried to read the EDID but im not sure if its done correctly.
This is a first for me.

The display is a "SAMSUNG LTN156HL01-101"

    Enyone who can help ?

    Thanks

First thing would be to try with another panel.

The attached EDID doesn't seem like it's the EDID from the panel, but rather some kind of "default" EDID.

19v and 3.3v ok on both screen.
      Second display ok.

Time for some diagnostics on the Samsung display ?

What programmer did you use to read the EDID, and which chip was it. Was it the one marked 416WP

The EDID ROM is the one marked 402WP. I think the label on the board is "ICED", to the right of the LCD connector.
Fuse F2 may or may not be the fuse that supplies power to the EDID ROM chip.

So i plugged in the Samsung display and its working again :S
Could this just be connection gone bad ?

i tried to push gently around the LCD connection and cable, all seems good

Yes, can be caused by a bad connection, that's why I said to try to clean the LCD connector.
