MacBook Pro A1398 (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) 820-00163-A crashes at half boot screen

No graphical? picture?

System starts but reboot/crashes about half the booting process, see picture.

Laptop was very hot. (closed lid?) when it broke.
It has a lot of dust in it and it has a protection case on it.

Battery was expanded too, and must be replaced.

I do this testing with power cable and without battery connected.

PM_ALL_GPU_PGOOD is 3,3

What can be the reason?

Try known good battery first. This model may need a good battery to boot. (820-00426 needs one for sure)

indeed the 2015 ones dont boot without a good a battery. had one that was completely dead with the power adapter and after checking the battery was shorted. With a new battery it worked like a charm!

With new battery, the laptops boot, with picture. However the dedicated VGA BGA is not in use. The PM_ALL_GPU_PGOOD = 3V3 while startup, but when he uses the VGA driver? the PM_ALL_GPU_PGOOD comes to nul.
