Re: Samsung UN60H6203AF LED TV Screen Won't Turn On

    The readings are not correct.
The exposed pins that you can see from the Top side of the board are the ODD number pin, the EVEN number pins you will have to probe from the back side of the connector using thin probe.
There is pins assignment chart printed on the board for those 10 pins, so you should have 10 pin names and Voltage for each pin except for the GND pins.
    So according to the chart:
    Pin1 A13V = ???V
    Pin3 A13V = ???V
    Pin5 A13V = ???V
    Pin7 A13V = ???V
    Pin9 GND
    Pin 2 UD = ???V
    Pin 4 PWM_BLU = ???V
    Pin 6 PS_ON = ???V
    Pin 8 GND
    Pin 10 GND

Ok thanks for clearing that up. I was a little confused from the diagram. I'll check it out tonight after work.

        Does this look correct?

        Pin1 A13V = 18V
        Pin3 A13V = 18V
        Pin5 A13V = 19V
        Pin7 A13V = 18V
        Pin9 GND
        Pin 2 UD = 4V
        Pin 4 PWM_BLU = 4V
        Pin 6 PS_ON = 4V
        Pin 8 GND
        Pin 10 GND

I think there is something wrong with your meter. Check the battery on it.

Re: Samsung UN60H6203AF LED TV Screen Won't Turn On

The meter may have low batteries Voltage but the reported Voltage readings indicate the needed Voltage and control Voltages are present.
The Voltage reading in post #10 indicated open circuit in the second string of the LED.

And that is why when the Black lead was on GND and the Red lead on S- the backlights came on.

Borrow a DMM from a friend? Your meter shows voltages present, but it reads a bit high. The main is sending BLon, so it has to be something with the led string

Is there a chance it could be the power supply board?

You can buy a replacement power supply board and find out, you can also buy LED tester for about $35.

OP: how comfortable are you with opening this TV up?

In lieu of doing that, i would suggest getting an LED backlight tester. See: http://www.shopjimmy.com/sid-gj2c-le...ght-tester.htm

You can find the same thing on eBay for cheaper - it's probably the best $30-$50 that you can spend on trouble shooting backlight issues.

Anyway, once you get it, apply the red probe to the + lead of the backlight wire, and the black probe to the - nead of the backlight wire. Make sure you have it DISCONNECTED from your power board first. Report back when you have had a chance to do so.

If the backlights turn on and stay on, then we can say it's potentially a power board problem. If the backlights DON"T turn on at all, or they shut off during testing, then it's an LED strip problem.

Hi, old thread so hope someone can still help. Same bn44-00775a board on a un60h6203. Original problem was one strip of lights went out so i got the strobing. Replaced the entire set of backlight strings and no lights at all. Forced backlight on mode and still 405v with no lights. I tested the individual leds again and all of them work. I have continuity on the wiring harness and measure 405v at the + of the top string and have voltage at each + on each strip all the way down enough that it should light the strips. Like the thread above, I can measure V from chassis grnd to s+ or s- at the connector pin on the psb and the lights all barely light up. I can also measure V from chassis gnd to the very last - on the very bottom led strip and all leds light very dimly. If unplugged for a whiile, i can plug psb in and all leds shine bright for a few milliseconds, then completely off. Seems like a continuity problem but i can figure out where or what else to try. Any ideas?

So the TV is powered up and turned on, then you set meter in Diode mode and put the probes on the chassis and the - pin of the LED connector, you better check to see if your meter is still OK.

You can only use Voltage mode when testing live circuit, do not use Ohm or Diode mode to test live circuit, you can damage your meter and the board.

What you did is providing the - (Cathode) return to circuit ground through your meter, instead of going through the MOSFET and current sensing resistor to circuit ground.

Show us good clear straight shot pictures of the whole top and bottom side of YOUR power supply board, and also the whole back side of the TV showing all the boards.
