                Hi folks! First post.

I came over here from Vogons. I think some of us old timers who love our classic computers are reaching a point where they may need some TLC, so I was recommended to ask my questions here.

                  Hi,

My name is Vitor and I'm from Brazil. I'm kind of noob in eletronics when it comes to new technology hardware but I've gain some knowledge on retro stuff reparing old consoles and some CRT tv.

At first I'll start asking questions but I hope in no time to start posting answers and helping people out too.

Greetings everyone. Came here after my LG 55LM7600-ua tv started showing horizontal lines on the left side of the screen. Hoping to find out that it isn't the screen itself and something less major. Thanks for everyone in the forum that helps out on people's threads!

Hi, Moonshadow1 here, I am 70, and retired now.
I was an electician in a Coalmine until the age of 22, then went to work as a service engineer for Rank Xerox /Xerox for the next 38 years.

I worked on all sorts of Photo copiers and Fax machines and then went onto Laser imaging systems in 1984 working on the Xerox 9700 systems which were driven by a DEC PDP11-34, the tape drives were by STC and the disc drives were by Control Data Corp.

The first computer I ever had was a Sinclair ZX81.

Thanks for allowing me to join.
