    What to test with???

    Heya Topcat.......

I'm going to do a little test to see if there is a difference between 1500µf and 2200µf caps. What program would you recommend to use for testing the mobo for basic OCability? How long to run it??

    Thanks

I use SiSoft Sandra Professional 2004. If you need it, let me know! Their burn-in utility is brutal!! that will tell you if there;s gonna be any problems!! On a board I recap, I usually let it run for 72 hours, although, if there are going to be any problems, the system will usually hurl within the first hour....

I definitely want the results of your experiment, I tried it on a couple, but didn't do any extensive overclocking experiments!

Yeah....I have SiSoft Sandra 2003 installed right now. Is the burn in test part of the registered (paid for) part of the apps?

i would look at vcore with a scope while sandra is flogging the system.
going up in value usually has positive results.less ripple/noise.

The burn-in is only included in the 'Professional' version (the paid for one). I've got Pro 2004, and it's really nice!! Zipped up it is about 7mb, if u need it, i'll post it somewhere for you.

                definately.
                i also use knoppix .
since it is a cd based distro and needs no hd it is great for beating up a board.
it is very memory and cpu intensive.
