    Fujitsu Siemens 23" LCD Scaleoview

I collected this display for free yesterday, was advertised as a non working unit.

The previous owner explained that the display stopped working, now only showing a white screen.

I have removed the back cover, and the power supply has 3 bulging caps

The bads ones are Xunda brand, so probably a chinese poor quality product.

    (2 x 220 µf 25 v and 4 x 680 µf 25v)

Also two Su Scon caps on the same board (taiwan ?) (470 µf 25 v)

I will probably remove all those and try a recap.

What capacitors will do the job ?

    Thanks

Panasonic FR range should be good.Make sure that the Physical sizes of the new caps are similar to the original,if there is a cover over the top etc.

      Thanks,

No no cover over the top, the board is connected upside down.

I have found a set of Rubycon XYG but those are 330 µf 35 v and 680 µf 35 v

      will those be suitable ?

Hi i would change all the ones mrked in red
and stay with the same uf but you can go up in voltage as long as they are the correct size and fit

So just a quick update, i removed all advised caps, collected the required units and soldered back (Panasonic FR)

And the display came back to life

ps: sorry for the bad pics

Re: Fujitsu Siemens 23" LCD Scaleoview

They dont have to be bulging to be bad - if you have the same caps they
are not a good brand so a good start would be to replace them.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: Fujitsu Siemens 23" LCD Scaleoview

Capacitors might not be your problem if the voltages are stable !!
Pictures of your board would help !
Does the power button turn on and off the power led indicator ?
Does the screen flash on for a second ?

                            ok
You are going to need to post pictures for any further help
One picture should show the entire back of the screen with the boards in place
and then at least one of the main input board and one of the power supply
I think that the power from the main input board is not getting to the lcd panel

It looks like the T-CON board on the LCD panel is dead due to not getting the power from the main board, the connector (LVDS) is not installed corectly, blown fuse on the T-CON. Please recheck your works.
