Replacement for NCC KZG and Teapo SM

    Hi

I've got a MSI MS-7050 with some bulged caps. They are either NCC KZG (in the CPU VRM) and Teapo SM (all over the board).

So I need some replacements for those...

i would use poly's for the kzg if they are vrm smoothing.
    the teapo, go panasonic FR

      thanks

      What about Panasonic FC?

Ah, Reichelt.de also sells the FR Series.
The FC are found under 'Capacitor, 2000-5000h', the FC are '5000-1000h'.

But they don't seem to have radial polys, just SMD Polys....

FC is usually more expensive than FR for some reason but worse ESR & lifespan.

        as for poly's, i'm surprised.
there is a german brand that seems to be sold everywhere these days.

          Ah, thanks.
Those FC are Low Impedance versions, the FR are Long Life versions.

I know of 'Würth', they are a pretty big parts company, they sell everything from electric tools, parts (dowel, screws and so on). Quality is OK.

But still: I don't really trust them for electronics because I do not know who the manufacturer of those caps are. I think they are a big 'labeling company' that let others manufacture their stuff, they just put their label on it.

Conrad.de has many things from them. But the question of quality remains...
          Are they labeling japanese caps?
Or are they labeling some taiwanese or even chinese caps?

          Either way:
I don't seem to find 6,3V aluminium electrolyte caps anymore, the smallest voltage reichelt.de has is 10V...
          Not a real problem though...
But it may be possible that the polymerse are replacing the electrolytes in the 'under 10V' area...

That board is a HP dx5150 motherboard. See http://www.hardwareinsights.com/wp/p...tually-work/3/

I've done a full poly-mod on that board before. If you stick to similar value polies to what I used, you should be fine.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

i'm sure the wurth poly's are chinese,
i dont have a problem with that - they are solid so i expect them to be what they are, not slowly dry up or boil like electrolytics.

they are more like enhanced tantalums.

that's not a full poly, you missed 7 caps

Ah, OK, thanks for the input.

I think I'd go for the Pany FR, like you mentioned...
I don't want to waste too much money on this old S939 Board.
And it probably would only be used for surfing the internet at most....

So I think even with the Pany FR that sys will last a couple of years...
