    Re: ECS KT600-A Rev 1.0

The only problem is that I don't even know how a microphone is wired, and they didn't have any pictures to help.

Maybe I should go buy a USB microphone.

My PCChips M848 aka ECS L7S7A2 aka 748-A works fine for what I need, even the bios ID says ECS... Elitegroup fabs produce millions of boards for all kinds of end users...

Mine have all worked fine, it's just the capacitors that turned out to be junk on them.

Mine does not have a defective microphone port... but what can I say, I'm using a $0.25 microphone on it...

MD, you must be lucky your microphone port is working.

I contacted PCCHIPS by e-mail to see what they say.

I tried my microphone in the line in port, it worked, but the sound was so faint you only barely hear what the microphone recorded, unless I put my speakers on louder than what I regularly hear.

They no longer take my emails ... LOL

I guess they got mad when I asked them about a "top hat module" for my M848, they said they do not make it, I said "come on, everyone knows ECS OEMs for you"...

            LOL

About USB microphones, the computer stores here only carry Logitech USB PlayStation 2 microphones, but can these USB microphones work with a computer?

I have successfully used a stock un-modded Logitech Driving Force PlayStation 2 USB steering wheel on a computer before.

I e-mailed PCCHIPS by an e-mail submit form that's on their website. After I clicked "Submit" it said in a warning message "successful!" which I guess means it was sent. I am still waiting for a response but I only e-mailed them a few hours ago.
