Radial Electrolytic Capacitor Date Code Reading Instructions

    Panasonic's :

Please share any information/link you have about others cap manufacturers (Rubycon, Chemicon, Sanyo, Samxon, Elna, etc..).

These links are helpful, but they do not apply to the type of aluminum electrolytic I have. It is a PANASONIC(Matsushita) ECOS1CP103BA. This is their TS-UP series. The only numbers on the part that look like a datecode are:

    7342(M)

Does anyone know how to decode this?

    Thanks

Hmmm, I'm curious about that too. I look at my panasonic TS-HA 470uF 250V

      [M] CE(M)
      HA 105C
      470uF
      250V
      JAPAN
      7710

The "7710" is in white writing. One will suspect it was made in 1997. To be honest im not sure how to decode that 4 numbers.

        77 = 1997 or 2007 , July

Re: Radial Electrolytic Capacitor Date Code Reading Instructions

typical capacitor date codes are in the YYWW (4 digit) format
YY represents the last 2 digits of the year
WW represents the week of that year

            so 8714 means
            1987
            14th week

            hope this helps
