need some help please

ok running slimjet browser and it keeps using 100 percent processor and fan running flat out .it never used to do this .its been happening now a good while and getting worse . have tried various suggestions from the net but no better . other browsers are fine but rather keep slimjet ..
it seems like it wants to use software for graphics instead of using gpu ... some rendering shit i know little about .
am running ubuntu .
also another problem but not bothered is most you tube vids wont play but some do .think its html5 issue .
i suppose i could wipe the whole thing then do a backup but would rather not do that as time consuming putting it back as i like it .
any suggestions welcome .i can copy paste outputs no problem .

ok think i might have it fixed .. can now click all 33 open tabs one at a time without fan running like crazy fast and staying there . ended up doing a reset in settings in slimjet . then put it all back how it was .
still not playing html5 youtube but not the end of the world .

another update it went back the same again .. this time i changed graphics to performance in the hope the graphics card takes more of the load .
will update again if and when it gets better or bad again ..

sudo apt-get remove javascript-common
sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove javascript-common

hope this systems boots up after shutdown ...

hope this systems boots up after shutdown ...

cant see that doing anything, the javascript interpreter is built into the browser.
it should be a browser option to block javascript - no need to uninstall stuff.

have revised these settings ..
also added miner block and nothing detected .
still the original problem with cpu fan running high after a while .
am now looking at task manager and its saying cpu at around 15 percent .
whilst CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor is showing 98 percent on all 4 cores .

problem is this i am pretty sure as when i kill this process everything returns to normal ...
there is much more in this line but nor sure how to capture it .. it goes a few screens wide .

just been into flags and changed a few things . cant seem to get rid of all field trial stuff but it seems much much better now .. after reloading all tabs fan spins up hard then returns to normal rather than staying sped up ..
bit of another issue now ..i see data in and out all the time . i dont want this happening as only on 15gb a month limit . total of about 200 kb/s . this pc stays on all day so that eating up credit .. will try turning off some more stuff in browser .

have disabled Offline Auto-Reload Mode .. now internet usage is lots lower . between 0/bs and 4/kbs . dont think it will get better than that ..

this is getting stupid now .. this thing is possessed or hacked .. just got on a chat on facebook and full speed fan yet again .. task manager telling me about javascript and harmony-shipping . killed the one using cpu and back to ok .. will do full scan for viruses . this is pissing me off now .
