Finally I got back to it and began checking everything that I could think of. Still dead, and I'm afraid that there's no putting back the magical smoke. The card I used is not exactly a port 80 card, although it does register where in the post the cpu/board combo is. The card can be found at http://www.uxd.com It's a PCI something and was around $1000, U.S. I've found it invaluable for many other diagnostic situations and it's picked up the most odd or unique things in systems that I never thought would be possible.
