A couple weeks ago, I repaired the motherboard inside a Dell Dimension 2300,
there were blown caps all over the place. Not to mention they were all soldered with lead free, the holes were so deep it was very difficult to desolder to take the caps out. I have made too many damages on the PCB. Nonetheless, I have finally managed to replace all the bad caps. Here are the 17 ~ 19 blown caps that I took out. It was insane. The funny thins is that the motherboard was still working fine with all those blown caps. Another thing to note was that there were Rubycon capacitors on the board, these were the only ones that was NOT BLOWN while almost every other caps blown like ones in the picture.
