probleme in start DELL INSPIRON 6000

Hi all i have a very strange probleme with a DELL INSPIRON 6000
it start and just after a minute it hangs on and i cant even shut it down by the off buton, for to restart i have to unplugg the wall contact and then it start for a hour or so and then it hangs up and the same thing to restart i am using it for the moment.if any one can help

Usual laptop tricks - try removing cleaning the ram and replace, try one stick instead of two. Remove the battery , cmos battery and ac leave for an hour then put it all back and try again. Make sure the fan is clear and running re apply good quality thermal compound between cpu and graphics chip and any heatsinks.
What OS are you using? - anything in any report logs.
