Default here we go... pad restoration now easy

ok so i tried sometimes to get a ripped of bga pad back in a working condition by using different jumper wire, but i could not be able to get a perfect job. once was the wire not good, once the tweezer, , but now ive just ordered this:
https://vimeo.com/538003330

from the video they looks really easy to use. ill get them in the next weeks as express shipping price increased a bit and went to normal postage ship from china.

anyone here already tried them ?

it looks like a KSGER clone - but it's very cheap so propably an older version with STC cpu.

the stand wont work btw - it's for a bigger iron

Seems to good to be true...
Don't know how well they will hand the heat when soldering the bga chip.
(The ultimate test would be after reworking see how it would stand an ic removal.
But hey... if it delivers what that video shows it will be good enough )

i think that solder mask will keep it in place, but the only problem i can imagine is pad dimention... maybe they are just suitable for mobile phone and not notebook bga....

Yes, from a glance they seem to be all about mobile phones, but didn't even went thru the product catalog to check if it's available in different sizes.

What is that fluid they put on?

I checked for some legit reviews, but all the videos are by the seller. Would be really nice if it actually worked...

It must be some type of glue sensitive to UV light but... who knows.
Didn't check but as i recall they didn't even mention it.
@dellxps15 might have some more info.

The green stuff is UV solder mask.

I don't see why it shouldn't work, I've been using copper foil for these type of repairs , this is just precut.

Hmm. If they use UV curing mask, is the UV able to get through/under the copper foil? Or is the idea to attach the thin trace, which holds the bigger pad in place?

all things need practice.... maybe as shown in videos solder the pad, then put some solder mask that will go under the pad too, remove estra mask then solder bga.

dot repairing arrived today.
