    LG flatron w2253tq Help!

Hello guys I replaced 8 bad caps on this w2253tq about a year or two ago (owned it for 3 to 4 years) and it's worked like new since. Recently however some OSD options have disappeared, the screen flickers with waves, sometimes the colors are a bit weird-ed out and the monitor would turn itself on and off I figured a cap or two went bad.

Today I opened the LCD up I looked at the caps, they all looked fine! I decided to re-cap it anyway. I had some cheap chong caps laying around, while the dimensions are a little different everything's to spec. 3 - 16V 1000UF, 3 - 35V 470UF, 1 - 50v 33uf and 1 - 50v 0.47uf the monitor turns right on but the osd is still missing options and looks bad! here are a few screen shots I'm sorry the images are super small but i had to take them on my phone.

Once again I'm sorry for the small images, but can you see how the osd menu looks pix-elated? Also the "smart" OSD menu no longer works, but sometimes pops up while hitting and scrolling through other options

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if i should get a replacement monitor or if it's worth fixing, also what could be wrong with it? the LCD seems fine I'm worried it's no longer the caps, although i haven't replaced the large one. (unknown specs.) EDIT: I should add, My GPU is fine, it's been tested on another monitor!

    Thanks,
    Brandon

Try to check capacitors with the ESR meter, its cheaper, than changing capacitors..

recapping it with crap is counterproductive.

If the caps you replaced still look good, and replacing them with new caps still doesn't fix the problem, then you've missed some caps or it's a different bad component. Do you smell "heat", feel components that seem too hot, see any scorching or discoloration. Do you remember which of the replaced capacitors was the worst. It might be simply that the circuit is badly designed and the cap(s) that failed previously were simply the 1st to go, with some other component doomed.

Also, do a Google search of the model number and see if there are other reports of similar symptoms that are non-cap related. Bad power suppl(ies) in particular.
