Take a picture of the settings you adjusted, the whole screen and also a picture of the sticker to the right side of the Tv, it might have SQ02 or AU07 or the like written on it.

By the way, sounds like a possible T-con card problem, just need those photos and numbers to confirm.

        Re: samsung LE40M87BDX/XEH big problem

        hello again

the label at the side of tv : LE40M87BDX/XEH

        SERIAL : AJOW36NQ

        VERSION : AC08

        the photos you asked :

        dtv : http://imgur.com/sWX6XKp

        http://imgur.com/SO5zShZ

        d-menu of dtv : http://imgur.com/QA7OoXH

        analogue tv: http://imgur.com/1BSdaPd

and finaly the ( damned) :p service menu : http://imgur.com/TLaJS1a

you know,if that happens suddenly i was thought ok,is broken, the time to pay has come, but it happened the exac time i restarted after i 'play' (stupid me) with the service menu.
another stupidity of me is that i never notice down what parameters i changed because i was sure with the reset option grrrrrr.
anyway the milk is on the floor no need to cry anymore,so i will follow your instruction
        thanks again

yes, i understand that now, maybe the damage come the same time you change something, and the reset option is useless after that.

so can i do anything,or its time for a 3D at last? :p

OK, within the service menu, go to "Option Table" and take a good picture of all the settings in there. AC08 suggests an AU Optronics screen, thus using the infamous AS15-F chip on the T-con and that's most likely your problem from the start. If it were slight in the beginning as you said, then we should be able to make it better, not perfect but better, it has to be said though either the chip or T-con card will need changing at some point.

as you said before in deed the problem before i put my hand in service menu it was small maybe the t-con just started to failure, but i wanded the perfect picture stupid stupid stupid

                  Re: samsung LE40M87BDX/XEH big problem

OK, not too sure what you've adjusted but the ones I'm interested in are:

                  INCH OPTION
                  PANEL VENDOR
                  PANEL TYPE
                  MODEL OPTION

Adjust PANEL TYPE remembering it's starting value and see what happens, this can make the colours go crazy just like yours if not set to the correct value.

Also try PANEL VENDOR, yet again remembering it's starting value.

The other two may have an effect too just remember it's starting value if you have to go back.

If any of these bring it back to where you saw it in the beginning then move to SUB BRIGHT, I found that by raising this value it removed the distortion you spoke of, the only trade off was a picture just a little washed out looking, basically too much brightness but the colours and distortion had been corrected. If you find this works it's a good idea to go back and forth to the normal menu from the service menu and try and adjust out some of the brightness, turning off DIne helped, as did turning black adjust to low or off, adjusting the brightness also helped but it's a balancing act, they all had an effect so just keep going back and forth till you get it as good as you can bare.

Basically, less picture processing turned on, the less brightness needed.

Just a word of warning, DON'T touch anything else in the service menu, there are some others I know of but a lot I don't, those other pictures you've shown, I have no idea what they are and wouldn't touch them because of, I hope this helps and good luck.

This is only temporary, the chip is on it's way out so will have to be changed in one form or another, I got about 4 months before it finally said night night.

Glad to hear it. Did you try raising SUB BRIGHT or turning any of the picture enhancements off, did they make any difference on the shimmering?

No, i goes directly in customer menu and with a little "playing" with contrast and brightness-color achieved to vanish shimmering, but i will try with your method tomorrow,of course with those adjustments the quality of picture is downgraded a little bit as you can see in the photos but is ok, when i have time i will try for the better result i can do,.and of course i will try your suggestion
i wanderer after that, you still insist about failure of t-con or you believe is something else?maybe something special in service menu adjustments?

with a very little decrease of contrast color etc:

after much more intervention: downgraded quality, like washed pale, but at list no problems
