Hello Guys,
I got a Dell Precision M6500 with a shorted Motherboard. The problem is that if i connect the Charger to the Powerjack the blue light turns off.
Steps i already did:
1. I added the voltage directly to the mainboard without using the jack.
2. I added 3 Volts directly to the mainboard to find the short and i found the cap (NEP jj8) getting hot. I replaced it with a good one i got from another board and it seems to work. No short any more at this location but now the short seems to start directly inside the Power Jack??
I running out of ideas to resolve the problem.
I will add a schematic of the XM2 Motherboard maybe you can tell me some suggestions or maybe you can give me advice of the voltages i need on the componens.
Thank you for any solutions.
