    Miele km5951

    Hey guys,
I really like to find out how to fix our miele ceramic induction Cooker. Last evening the breakers of the Cooker Group tripped. Because the Device is already 8yrs Old i decided to look at it myself. I opened the unit and found out the PCB has Black burn marks on it.

So something must have taking too much amps. Then i saw the second thing.

As you might be able to see, the Blue coil is a little bit molten. Could this mean the coil made a short circuit? And is it possible to fix this?

    Thanks for reading!

Can we see the straight shot pictures of the whole top and bottom side of the board?
That copper trace blew up due to over current, probably due to shorted components.

Those two links don't work for me either.

Blowing a trace and 20A fuses the power semiconductors have obviously failed short circuit. I don't see them in the pics. They are what I would I would test first.

The fuses were never in there, i already tried with 20A fuses in it but they did not do their job as the kitchen group breakers tripped again.

What is printed on the IC next to R115? Sounds like there is a dead short, if you plug it in an it trips the breaker right away.

You have another board with hestsink so more likely that is where the power semiconductors are and they may be shorted out. To trip the panel breaker, it has to be some shorted power devices.
How about pictures that show every thing?

Okey, i forgot to say the breakers dont go immediately after plugging the device in. It powers up fine but once we turn on one heater it all trips again.
I cannot take the pictures right now as i am not home atm. But you are right, there are 2 another panels with 4 transistors each,
connected to a heatsink. As soon as i get home i Will try to look at it.

Sounds like the heating element is blown.

Thats a really good guess, i forgot to check if it is the same with the other heaters. Sadly, i didn't have time today and this week is going to be tough too. I might try to check on it in the end of the week if my parents didn't buy a new one already.

It is induction coil, not the typical heating element.
