    Photo watermarking

I'm looking for some software to watermark my photos that I take before I upload to the internet, but everything I find is well... purchased software. Are there any free alternatives (open source even) out there that I can use?

Really annoys me when people do this to pics but I will help you out.

    Try

I have used it a few times and it works great. I do not use it often because photos with watermarks tend to block/distort the pic.

Sellers on Ebay that do this to their pics are the most annoying because they often do it to hide a blemish.

      ^free for personal use

otherwise, irfanview also has a function for that.
just open a pic, draw a box with your mouse where you want the watermark to be, then "edit" -> "insert text into selection"

Noooo...don't watermark. =P. If you are going to watermark, just a little in the corners is just as effective.

I just use powerpoint if I need to. Pretty inefficient, but you can do some cool things in 2007/2010.
