    Toshiba Satellite L555d-S7910 mobo Freezing

Hello, I've been searching for hours without any true luck. I have a Toshiba Satellite L555D-S7910 which freezes whenever plugged in. It works with just the battery. My motherboard is made by "HannStar"
Other markings on motherboard (which might be helpful are)
    LA-497
    MB K000079030 WK 927K
    2184336701995
    2FMFG:925
    KTWAE LB1
    46166951LB1
10O2 (one zero 'Letter O' two)

There is a monster thread which tells how to fix just such a problem like mine if I had the NEC/Tokin Chip, which *I DO NOT HAVE*

    Specifically,
    - Could someone tell me which capacitors to replace which ~might fix this motherboard. I'd rather replace 'too many' vs. put it all back together and find out it still is broken.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! This is a nice computer, I'd hate to throw it away due to some little capacitors!
I've uploaded a bunch of images of my motherboard. I can take more if anyone likes.

    Thanks so much!

That's a Compal product number. So we at least know who designed it. You might be able to find a schematic.

Even if it has no NEC/TOKIN capacitor, the symptoms are similar, so you could try replacing the capacitors under the CPU socket and see if it works.

Had similar issues on two L300D boards without a Tokin cap.

First one worked fine after I replaced the Vcore 330uF caps.

Second one worked intermittently after replacing the Vcore 330uF caps and turned out to also have an NB issue.
