    Iiyama Prolite XB2374HDS

Hi everyone, I'm from Italy and I first of all I want to apologize for my english which is not good. Please be patient and correct my if you want

I have a problem with my monitor Iiyama Prolite XB2374HDS.
After 3 years of work it started to have some problems. Around 1 month ago, after some hours of usage, the monitor started to don't display images on the screen even if the power led was on blu (normal working condition).
The solution that I found was to unplug the power cable for at least 1 minute and reconnect the plug again; with this simple solution the monitor returned to work as expected.
Recently the problem is changed. After some hour of work the monitor turns off completely. The previous solution was also applied to this problem and it worked.
I am here to have some feedback/hints from users of this forum to resolve once and for all this problem.

I have disassembled the monitor in search of bad capacitors through a quick visual inspection. Unfortunately the capacitors seem good.
I want also to highlight that the power board uses rubicon capacitors (one of the recommended manufacturer) except for two of them which don't have any manufacturer label and which I cannot recognize.
    Photo Here:

The logic board don't use rubicon capacitors but an unknow/unlabeled manufacturer.

My idea is to buy new capacitors for the entire logic board and maybe for the two unknown capacitors on the power board.

What do you think about my solution? Thanks for the help!

Can we see the straight shot pictures of the whole top side and the bottom side of the board?
BTW, the Power LED still stay on blue but no backlights?

Actually I have reassembled the monitor so I cannot provide to you these pictures at the moment; If you are interested in the solder status I can assure that they are in perfect conditions on both of the boards. All the components seem in perfect working condition.

About the power.. no; the problem that I have now is that the power goes away and the monitor turns off by itself after some hours of work (sometimes 3 or 4, other times more); the led turns off completely (no orange stan-by). This is a different problem from what I had 1 or 2 months ago when the backlights goes away and the led passes from blu to orange (stand-by).

In less words It seems that the initial problem has changed and now it behaves in a different way.

The reason I want to see the bottom side of the board is so I can trace out the connections for you to test the certain test points on the board, same for the pictures of the whole board. You can also have bad lamp/s.

OK, that white flat cable that goes to the LCD panel is for the LED backlights which I will not be surprised if you have bad LED backlights.
I will have to trace the bottom side of the board to see how the LED backlights are being driven so I can give you the test points on the board, this may take a while.

Yes the white cable goes to the backlight. I haven't highlighted the connector which "drives" the image to the screeen on the logic board. The related cable is not show in the photo.
What do you mean with bad backlight? Do you mean that it can be repaired?

first u must check dc voltage supply on back light flat cable connector .you know for supply lighting led need to dc voltage.(flat white cable connect to display)

I'm sorry but I need more info on how to do the test, I'm a noobie :/
I have understood where to do the measure but I don't know how to set the multimeeter and where to put the pins.

thats ok.first we must find circuit diagram .please read part number of power board.(for finding schematic).

Do you mean the serial number? if yes, here it is:
                              1944504P0289

I have also made two more pictures about the backlight cable and connector; these could be more useful.

Any news? I really need some info... good or bad doesn't matter.. I mean.. I need to know if is better to buy a new monitor or there are chances to repair it. Lately there aren't any progress or news on what to do or how to preceed with the test, so I can not understand how many real chances I have to repair it. I still cannot stay without a monitor for long.
                                  Thanks

1)Have you done any off circuit test on components such as diode, transistor ?
2)What sort of test equipment (multimeter, esr meter, etc) you have?
                                    3) Do you know the year of manufacture or how many years in usage of this monitor?
Changing the capacitor most likely will solve 80% of your problem.
