    LG 50pc1r-zh Flickering

    Hello experts
I have a LG 50pc1r-zh which is flickering when turn on.
    I replaced 9 3300mf capacitors and 1 1000mf capacitor.
I did not try it befor I changed them as I got it from a friend and I knew it did not work.
Anyway It turns on and I hear clicking sound and the screen is flickering.
It is exactly the same as this video
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJochQbgncQ
I saw that he also wrote that he replaced capacitors and had the same issue afterwards.
He did not write back if he fixed it or not.
It seems to be the ysus board, but how can I be sure? and is not the ysus board fixable? what goes bad with it?
I want to know for sure when I change things and I want to know what is bad so that I learn something to

    IPM failure most likely.

Is the ysus making a ticking noise?

            Flip the ysus upsidedown.
The pin in outs are labelled. But your black probe on the pin marked Gnd. And test the outputs. Sus out etc. See if any are shorted.

Either way that ticking noise is usually the sign that one has failed.

On IC201 there is no shorts.
On IC202 there is short between gnd and NC
also between gnd and all pinblock named CH

Anyone with an answer? Is both the IPM on ysus the same? I have read that you should change both to get the same revision

all ipm's are the same on x and y boards.
unfortunately i don't have any here with that pin out to get comparative readings for you.
WHY CAN'T PHILIPS USE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS?

I bought 2 of them now, so I will change both of the Ysus IPM.
                        Wish me luck
I will get back with the result when I have reseived and changed them.

you could of compared the ipm's from the y to the x board. hope it fixes your set though.

I do not understand this? Please explain. I bought both IPM for ysus board. Ysus IPM and ER IPM. I read that you should change both IPM so that they have the Sam revision. And they were not expansive.
And I read that it is an easy job

"Easy job" with the right tools! I use a Hakko 808 desoldering gun and still have difficulty removing them at times. The Ysus are multi-layered boards that disperse heat as well as the IPM's heatsink.

I usually add leaded solder to the IPM's pins, then heat up the bottom (pin side) with a heat gun, and then use the Hakko to suck out the solder from the pins.

That was why it was a whisteling smiley.
I know it is a hard job . I have done it ones before and that tv did not work after I did it, but I think something else was wrong with it.
I think I will try to cut the pins with some small tool

Hello again. Desoldering is done. But here comes maby a stupid question. Is the er-ipm the same as the sus-ipm? Because I desoldered both of them thinking that it should change both of the as I have read you should change both Ipm the same time. Now I believe that this ment the ysus and zsus ipm. Should I solder the er-ipm again?

No expert but I believe the x and y are the same and should both be changed. Check part numbers
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.
