    Re: pn64e550d1fxzc power issue

It could be almost anything unfortunaely without some voltage readings being taken.
Are Vs and Va trying to reach the voltage given on the label on the back of the panel?
Have you checked to see if there is a short circuit from Va to chassis, Vs to chassis?
Do you have photo's of your boards.

To add onto Dick_barton's comment, it would also be nice to know more detail about the powers off issue you described. Does it turn on and work for an hour before it powers off or does it power off before picture can even appear on screen?

Touch up all the solder joints on the power supply board.

I would use a soldering iron, not an oven. You will melt all the plastic and blow up the capacitors!

At least do everything mounted to a heatsink and under a transformer. Use 60/40 leaded solder.

                          I use .6 to 1 mm diameter.

These 3 blue capacitors marked as 106 need to be replaced also. They are 10uf 50volt.
See pictures below. They will prevent the tv from turning on. They are on the y-main board.

I have used electrolytic caps in this repair. You have to figure out what side is the negative and the positive. I can't remember, but it was easy to figure out.

First picture is the recommended replacement caps. Second one is correct polarity of electrolytic capacitors. The stripe side with shorter leg is negative.
