    Samsung PN50C450B1D vertical 3 inch strip

    Hi all I got this tv tonight and it works great other than this 3 inch strip on the left side of screen.

      Check the ribbon connector at the location of the fault and make sure it is latched. Its probably a failing panel. Un-repairable.

          Lower left that attach the ribbon to one of the lower buffer boards. You’ll have to remove the metal strip to expose the ribbon cables. Do this carefully as this also serves as a heat sink for the IC’s bonded to each ribbon cable. Do not operate tv without the metal strip reattached.

            Reseated and cleaned cable no change so I guess this sucker is trash??

              Agreed. Bad panel. All of the 'C' series Samsung panels meet this same fate. The parts on them are basically worthless because panel failure is the most common issue.
