Hello firstly,I have a sky Q box which I want maybe sell on possibly,just want a bit of information,I connected via hdmi which showed the menus etc,I factory reset it,when I switched it back on was asking for signal to get back in to assume to the menu screen.
Is this how they start up fresh out of the box ?

wouldnt surprise me, i never liked that company.
they used to insist you plugged the modem into the phone line!
it probably wants to see if it's been blacklisted to if it's actually pointing at the "right" sattelite.
