Not Texas Instruments... It's easy actually, they are made by Tecate Industries, a company which merged into Tecate Group in the early 2000's (started by a San Diego entrepreneur). They make capacitors in Mexico (Tecate is a border town).

The video card I mentioned was made in Mexico, so that makes sense.

The capacitors that I showed you are from the 1980's.

Makes sense as the company was founded in 1975. Yours are older design and using the old branding (T.I. vs TECATE).

Okay .. One of the Need for speed Carbon's RawThrills systems came for maintenance . Somehow an easy job , ghosting a new drive with Norton , apply new paste for the Nvidia and Cpu , some Panasonic capacitors to replace in the Power Supply .
I asked my friend to make his queries , and looks like he's interested and would look in his old pinballs , check date bills and companies ..

He's still insisting on giving me the old famous "Sheriff" , but it's me now whose reluctant . lol .. Where shall i put it !! .. Maybe that's why he want get rid of it ,well , need more thinking .

they sell the iso's, but they will cost a lot more than $10 once the bank has had it's chunk!!

maybe i can by a dvd from the local dealer (Namco)

i have a quick question do you know who made these caps
                            brand: T.I.
                            number of caps: 2
                            specs for cap 1: 330uf 35v 105c no vent
specs for cap 2:2200uf 35v 85c no vent
now i've seen some in a old pinball machine [the only difference being that all of them had vents]
here are some photos of them to [probably] help you
note: i do know that there is a dent in the 330uf cap
                            side view

                            top view

now i do have others that i do not who made them [like USI, A ce, and a few others] and i don't know if they are good for custom projects
                            thank you
These caps seem to be a good brand, I had recently opened a JBL Eon 15 from the early-mid 1990's. It was full of this brand, all tested good and well over their ratings (which is always nice, such as the 33uf 100v caps testing as 39uF). I think you should be fine using these, it would be nice to know who makes them though.

See post #24 of this thread. And Tecate Industries made (makes?) decent parts.

Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.

I'm gonna go with definite good brand as JBL seemed to use them extensively and I haven't seen them fail. According to their site they're still making them.

Edit: Holy shit! They have Maxwell BoostCap capacitors for extremely low prices??? What the fuck they are selling 200$ capacitors for 40$????
