Yeah mine is similar to but maybe not quite as bad. The menu setting for the backlight was set to 100... I've now set it to 60 and it's still quite a bright picture at that. It will be ok for use...

Thank you for all the help and advice guys. I opened the screen again and found that one of my replacements had failed. Set is now working but has really obvious rings around some of the LEDs, not...

It's all back together at the moment but I'm sure there were 4 rows of 9 LEDs, so 36 in total.
