Re: Samsung UN39FH5000FXZA (Ver. PF03) Component Identification

I use my 30v 3A power supply to test strips. I often have to measure parts of the strip at a time due to the low voltage. They are usually in series, I've yet to blow one but as I'm there fitting...

Re: Samsung UN39FH5000FXZA (Ver. PF03) Component Identification

Amps stay the same regardless of how many LEDs there are,
Set your supply to 200-300mA and 18V and test the LEDs in groups of 6 if you are able.

Re: Ratdude's Main Rig V6

If it ain't fucked, don't fix it and post #15 suggests ; the unlucky fairies come to play quite often/the devil makes work for idle hands.

I've only known one person with an SLI installation. I...

Re: Ratdude's Main Rig V6

The specs read like a high end gaming PC at the time, i7, 1600Mhz memory, perhaps someone figured it might be worth paying for the license.
Companies selling a device that's fully featured but only...

Re: Ratdude's Main Rig V6

No, It's a licensing thing. SLI licences were more expensive than Crossfire. Supermicro make/sell server boards so didn't pay for an SLI license.
Yes Nvidia only want SLI working on those boards...

Re: PS4 Controller acting weird

Which version of the controller do you have ?
I know if there is no Sony flex on the current version (5) then L2 and R2 activate.
I'm in a job where I repair between 30-60 controllers a day. It's...

Re: PS4 Controller acting weird

Nothing to do with the analog, it's the foam pad under the Sony flex.

Re: Xbox One controller 🎮 no power

U1 is a 5v to 3v converter. The capacitor is 100uf 10v and for the diode I've used 1N4148.
There's a thread here where they test U1. https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=43204.120

Re: Importance of wicking during rework?

I've always cleaned with a ball of leaded solder followed by removing the rest with some decent braid. I've never had any issues.

Of course it all needs removing, otherwise there will be uneven...

Re: On-Premise Secure Data Storage Solution vs 3rd Party Secure Data Storage Solution

You're already storing most of your data on site. You need to ensure your network is secure and work out a backup/DR solution.

Paying experts doesn't always result in an expert service.

Re: Questions about Network Level Authentication and Remote Desktop

On premise, I control it's destiny. If it's that precious it wouldn't be connected to the internet. I can back it up and can take it off site. By all means use someone else as a back up, but that...

Re: Questions about Network Level Authentication and Remote Desktop

However if you use Azure to host racist shit and get a complaint then they as they did will ask you to remove it.
The racist threats of violence were public. They didn't need inspecting.

Re: 42LC7D Backlights burnt

Yes the tubes can be replaced.
It's ESR and capacitance you measure of capacitors. Not their resistance.
